Rob and Vickie Lill continue to make all ice creams, gelato, and sorbet from scratch using our own in house pasteurizer. All products are small batch crafted in Marion, Ohio. Our customer base consists of grocery stores, farm markets, schools, factories, and ice cream socials just to name a few. We currently operate a 1956 DIVCO milk truck converted into an ice cream food truck and a refrigerated Freightliner that pulls a 14-foot sandwich/ice cream cart,” said Rob Lill of Riverside Ice Cream.

Richard Riddle got his start in the barbeque business by selling ribs out of a garage in Springfield. After saving money to start his own business, he opened a carryout and rib restaurant at 502 South Wittenberg Ave. in 1988. After a year, ribs were cooking inside and business was surviving. Today, Riddle enjoys operating his concession stand at fairs and other special events as a small business owner. He believes that he can compete against fast food giants and run a successful business – through all of the sacrifice and hardships that small businesses go through to succeed. “I believe in the American Dream,” said Richard Riddle.
